About Too Much Slurry

Too Much Slurry is a campaign against the harm caused to local communities by intensive farming.

The harm is UK wide and threatens the environment, the quality of life and the health of those living close to intensive farms.

Why Too Much Slurry?

Intensive farms produce too much slurry in one location.

It’s impossible to dispose of the quantities of slurry produced without creating major problems for the surrounding communities including:

  • Air pollution which damages the health of those living near by.
  • Foul odours which destroy the quality of life of those living nearby.
  • Volumes of traffic in rural locations wholly unsuited to the scale of vehicles involved.
  • Water pollution which damages our rivers and our streams.
